MukkaMaar with Mukki is a WhatsApp-based self-defense program designed to empower students with essential safety skills. The program operates on Glific, a secure SAAS service platform, using WhatsApp Business API. When you register for our program, we collect the following information to enhance user experience and program effectiveness:
- Personal Information: Phone number, name, and demographic details (gender, location, grade).
- Multimedia Content: Videos, photos, and audio submitted by users.
- Chat Interactions: Inbound and outbound conversations with the Mukki chatbot.
How We Use Your Information
We collect and process data solely for the following purposes:
- To improve the effectiveness and accessibility of our self-defense programs.
- To provide technical and operational support when needed.
- To analyze trends, generate reports, and measure program impact.
- To send updates and relevant information about MukkaMaar initiatives.
We do not use collected data for advertising, not even individual user data in any of our reports, AI model training, or any external research without explicit user consent. Any reports generated are strictly cohort-based analyses, ensuring individual privacy.

- User Responsibility: Users keep their data on their devices; hence, their guardians are responsible for any data leaks at this level.

- Secure Storage: All user data is stored on private cloud servers with strict access controls.
- Limited Access: Only one or two authorized personnel can access collected data.
- Automatic Deletion: Media files (videos, photos, audios) are permanently deleted after 7 days to prevent long-term storage risks.
- No External Sharing: MukkaMaar does not share user data with third parties, AI models, or external organizations.
- Encryption: All stored data is encrypted to prevent unauthorized access or misuse.
- No AI Processing: Videos and images are not analyzed using AI-driven facial recognition or tracking technologies.
While we take rigorous steps to protect user data, no system is entirely immune to security risks. In the event of unauthorized access or a data breach, we will take immediate action to mitigate any impact.
How we might use or share your Information
We may disclose information only if legally required under the following circumstances:
- Compliance with a court order or legal process.
- Requests from law enforcement or government agencies as mandated by law.
Whenever possible, we will inform users prior to such disclosures, unless restricted by legal obligations.

User Control & Opt-Out Options
Users may opt-out of data collection and request account deletion by emailing us at info@mukkamaar.org. Additionally, users can opt out of the program by typing <OPTOUT> in the WhatsApp chat, as per WhatsApp Business API policies. Upon request:
- We will delete all personal data and conversations associated with your account.
- You will receive a confirmation once the deletion process is complete.
