Hitesh Speaks – My MukkaMaar Fellowship Experience

Self-defense isn’t just about punches and kicks, it’s about believing in yourself, trusting your gut, and knowing you can be strong! In Mukkamaar there is no need for proper formal graduation which allowed me to become a part of them. Here, no one requires you to speak fluent English. It taught me techniques for staying calm and focused under pressure, promoting mental wellbeing. They helped me to gain confidence. I was underconfident before joining MukkaMaar and avoided conversations with strangers to a great extent.

It brings immense happiness after seeing the transformation of the girls who were shy and timid in the beginning and now become brave and strong. In the annual fest of MukkaMaar, I and
my partner(Shanti) were able to guide our school to win the best school trophy. Also, we both won the best team (Fellows) award which showed our teamwork and dedication. This event helped me to find my potential to be a leader which I never explored before.

The best part? Seeing these girls grow! The quiet one might become the star of the class, and the one who gets flustered can now handle anything.
